Wow!! What a fantastic musical evening at The Old Schoolhouse Royston going back to the 80's with the talented Janey Lee Grace. Thank you to Bow Books and Dr. James Riley for a wonderful evening filled with an insight into her illustrious career which began as a backing singer for WHAM !

We Kicked off the weekend supporting Jamie’s Quest for lifesaving cancer treatment at the fun-filled Karaoke fundraiser.

A big shout out to the amazing crew at Royston Fire Station who put on their spooktactular FREE Halloween event. The local community turned out in huge numbers to enjoy fairground rides, hot food and drinks, miniature train rides, Gerry's Mobile Ices and a wonderfully lit scary indoor display crammed with skeletons, witches, pirates, spiders and ghouls.

We party come rain or shine and the beer festival hosted by The Woodman Inn had an amazing vibe with Resonance Band, DJ Matt and food that was out of this world !!

Fantastic afternoon supporting the Silver Sunday Musical Extravaganza at Royston Town Hall hosted by our wonderful Mayor of Royston, Cllr John Rees.

We had a  great day supporting James Riley in collaboration with Bow Books at BarkwayLitFest. A real variety of fantastic authors and genres. Well done to Julia Cole for winning our ticket competition. Best dressed award goes to 'Sophia' in her rainbow coat of many colours. We met some wonderful Buddy Holly fans and a special mention to 'Honey' the dog who we found chewing the fat in the Green room.

'Twas a spectacular and sunny Saturday at ‘Gala in the gardens’ as part of the Royston Arts Festival. Lots of amazing community stalls and food courtesy of Street Food Heroes and Horsebox Coffee Shop. Our friends from Limitless Academy Of Performing Arts were amazing. So much great entertainment throughout the day – we danced along with Acro Iris Samba and marvelled at the extremely talented Arts Fest cover girl, I, Claudia.

A fantastic Open Day at Royston Leisure Centre. The new spin class studio is sooo cool, even Harry Aikines-Aryeetey aka 'Nitro' from Gladiators joined in the fun Harry is a core member of the Team GB sprint relay team and is a three-time gold medallist winner

We were delighted to attend the cat show at Bassingbourn sports centre today. Huge congratulations to the show winners and everyone who took part. The top winner and ‘best of best’ in both shows was Imperial Grand Champion and Premier, ‘Marilljos Boss in Motion.’ This handsome 8 year old cat is a seal tabby point Siamese. A beautiful morning at the Royston Allotments at Coombes Hole chatting to the plot holders, admiring the produce and basking in the sunshine with food from the bbq along with tea and cake. We hope to be producing a special Community Voice show involving some of the members and committee. A big shout out to all the volunteers too

Wow !!! - so much support for the Royston Royal British Legion club today A lovely community feel for this important day raising funds to keep the club open. A big shoutout to Nina and Michael Jones, Chairman Geoff, Andy from Newlings of Royston our amazing Mayor of Royston John Rees for his support along with Councillors Luke Haugh and Fiona Hill, talented singers Kate and Lydia, Royston Fire Station, Bow Clip Creations Toy Boutique and all the volunteers who helped everything run so smoothly.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of the Royston Fire Station Open Day raising funds for lots of wonderful charities including the Fire Fighters Charity. It was an honour to meet the The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Annie Brewster and lovely to see Councillor Steve Jarvis who came along for a boogie and a chat with the radio team.

Royston Radio rocked the crowd at North Herts Pride in Hitchin on Saturday. The team met some wonderful and inspirational people.

It was an honour to work alongside musician Bob Henrit, drummer with The Kinks at his drumming workshop organised by the Royston and District Parkinson' Group. The event was a complete sell out !

We were invited to be part of the Tucker’s Americana event at the Eternit Sports & Social Club on Sunday in memory of Pete Tucker and Woody.

Last week Royston Radio saw two more work experience students join us for a week.

The crew had a wonderful day at the Guilden Morden Primary and Pre-School PTFA 50th birthday celebrations yesterday.

A great family day out at the Icknield Walk First School Summer Fair on Saturday. Lots to see and do including A10 Country Castles, Parties with Pebbles, The Outdoors Project - Cambridge & Royston, Bow Clip Creations Toy Boutique , Royston Fire Station and so many other stalls.

A night to remember playing the tunes for the KJAR Year 11 Prom at the Coach House Hotel Flint Cross. The students came dressed to impress, turned up in style and danced the night away.

Royston Heath was a sea of blue today for the annual Royston in Blue charity event in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust

On Saturday night we supplied the soundtrack to the sell out Bow Books birthday event ‘Scream and Shout’ at the The Old Schoolhouse Royston. Dr. James Riley gave a fascinating talk on the history of 60’s and 70’s music and signed copies of his latest books ‘Bad Trip’ and ‘Well Beings’ both of which can be purchased at the bookstore in Angel Pavement.

What a wonderful afternoon we had on Thursday holding our Memory Lane event at The Forget Me Not club in beautiful Barrington. The club members shared memories of times gone by and browsed through some amazing scrapbooks and photos albums kindly supplied by Barrington History Society. We even had some confessions !! They also chose a song that meant something special to them or just a favourite track. Our Director even found himself in a photo having attended the local school when he was young !

Royston Radio was honoured to support the Royston Town Council’s 50th Anniversary celebration today. It was wonderful seeing the old photographs on display and chatting to people who attended sharing memories.

The 2nd Royston Guides Visited Royston Radio on Monday evening at Coombes Community Centre. They enjoyed an interactive evening as part of their ‘media badge.’ Great work girls, you came up with some great show ideas and now you are all famous DJ’s !

We were invited to attend the opening of the Letchworth Festival in Leys Square alongside Diamonds Roadshow Disco with today's theme focusing on ‘Fitness, Wellbeing and fun.’Garden City Samba kicked things off with an amazing walk around Leys square shopping area followed by Imajica Theatre who entertained the crowd with their belly dancing skills.The Everyone Active team were there to keep people moving too.

Rain didn’t dampen the spirits as crowds flocked to join in all the fun of the May Fayre in Priory Memorial Gardens on Bank Holiday Monday.

We were honoured to be part of the celebrations for the Royston & District Twinning Association's 50th Anniversary and helped to welcome our German friends from Großalmerode including Mayor Finn Thomsen. A well run quiz and a brilliant band entertained everyone in our very own iconic building, Royston Town Hall with beautiful roses we purchased especially for the occasion from Royston Market.
