'I became the Vicar of Royston in October 2023. An important part of my role is to make as many connections within the community as possible so that I can be there should any support be needed. When I moved to Royston, not only did Sarah and Fonz make contact with me, I also found that they were there having made those connections with almost every aspect of the community. Community is truly their middle name! They also put on a programme for Christmas and then again at Easter, which helped to bring choirs from across the community into one voice. They have also recorded elements of the community so that those who were unable to make the events were still enabled to be connected with the community by listening to them on the radio. In a very short time, Royston Radio has become an indispensable part of our community.'
The Revd Dr. Steven Sivyer, Vicar of Royston
'Immediately on our arrival in summer 2023, we were so pleasantly surprised to be greeted enthusiastically by the RR dynamic duo...supporting our Jeffrey Archer launch event and others subsequently, plus keeping in touch ever since. Even inviting yours truly to cut his Royston broadcasting teeth via interview and brief programme contributions. The bookshop looks forward to further planned cooperation in the months ahead. The radio station really is a wonderful addition to the vitality of the community.'

'We are the Royston and District Parkinson's group. We are constantly in touch with Fonz, Sarah and team Royston Radio station. On Parkinson's awareness day in May Fonz and team came along to the Heath Cafe in Royston where we had set up a stand to encourage people to come along and talk and meet others. Having the music there was wonderful and an important focus point for people arriving. We were able to choose the music we liked and it was a hugely friendly morning. Thanks to Fonz and Sarah for
being part of our Parkinson's community.'

'My time at Royston Radio provided me with so much insight into the world of radio. I loved learning about it on a community level, as it enabled me to meet so many different people throughout my week here. It helped build my confidence, and taught me so much about what producing a radio show actually looks like. Also, creating my very own radio show was an amazing experience, and something I never thought I'd get the opportunity to do. The team was so supportive and friendly, I had a great time.'

'We have been working in collaboration with Fonz, Sarah and the rest of the team at Royston Radio since the summer and could not be any more impressed with them and the impact that they are having within the local community.
Nothing is too much effort for any of them and when they came to our ‘Summer Bash’ they didn’t just entertain our residents but also integrated fully with the residents and their families in such a positive way. It was amazing to see and received lots of positive feedback.
We have lots of future work lined up between Melbourn Springs and Royston Radio and we cannot wait to build on what has been an incredible start.
Keep up the great work guys'
Denis Green, Melbourn Springs
'The Thriplow Daffodil Festival main stage hosted 14 bands and was superbly hosted by the outstanding team from Royston Radio.
The Compares added huge value to the event in 2024 and we can't wait to have them back in 2025 to hose the festival again.
A truly professional local Radio station we wish every success for the future.'
Richard Murphy, Thriplow Daffodil Festival
'Fonz and Sarah from Royston Radio came to 2nd Royston Brownies. We didn't quite know what to expect but we had the most fantastic time. Fonz and Sarah really got the Brownies participating in every sense of the word - they talked about their adventures and what they liked best about Brownies - they put the girls at ease and the result was brilliant. The Brownies and their Parents/Carers were all absolutely thrilled to hear themselves on the Radio and it is an evening we will all treasure.'
THANK YOU TO FONZ AND SARAH.

'My work experience at Royston Radio was one that I will never forget. I got to meet some truly wonderful people.
I want to thank everyone that I got to meet at Royston Radio.. I would also like to thank Royston football club for a wonderful experience. I got to meet and interview the Chairman, the players and the fans. Thank you to Royston fire station for showing me around and interviewing some of the crew. I also did interviews with participants of the Royston Leisure Centre walking group and some of the local businesses - you all were fantastic. I also got to meet the wonderful Mr Bamboozle who was amazing and kindly let me have a moment on his Fat Jax experience show - it was wonderful to meet you mate, keep it going !!
In November I was honoured to be chosen by Royston Radio to be a part of the Royston Christmas Lights Switch on where I was assisted by Fonz and Mr Bamboozle on stage to share my work experience highlights in front of a huge crowd ! They really made me feel part of the team.
Finally I would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah and Fonz who took me on board !'

'On behalf of Guilden Morden Primary School PTFA , we would like to give a massive thanks to Royston Radio for supporting our school on a very special day. Despite the wet start the umbrellas went up and the fun began. They were high energy and they kept everyone entertained with their music and fun personalities!
We can't wait to be working with them next year! Our event wouldn't have been the same without them!
Happy 2nd Birthday!'
Annouska Cotton, PTFA
'Royston in Blue had the pleasure working with Royston Radio this year. They helped support our event on the day interview and taking photos of our runners and walkers. Not only that they gave us great publicity before the day and help promote our cause. It was an absolute pleasure working with them and hopefully will do for many years! Happy 2nd Birthday, from the Royston In Blue Committee.'
