Why Should You Volunteer With Royston Radio?

Royston Radio has been broadcasting for a year, and during that time, we have created a diverse schedule of programming ranging from different music genres to drama, comedy, documentaries, and community-based programmes.

Royston Radio is more than a radio station; we are active in the community, supporting local projects, events, and small businesses.

With the help of Ensum Brown, we donated Alexas to local care homes and community services. We also provided students with work experience.

Royston Radio has also assisted the Royston Town Council with events for seniors in the community.

Over the last year, we have trained and assisted people from a variety of backgrounds. These include people with mental health issues, unemployment, former alcohol and substance abusers, brevity, isolation, and disabilities.

We believe that everyone should be welcomed and given the opportunity to learn and support the work we do in the community.

Royston Radio is always happy to hear from new volunteers who want to help us grow and improve our services.

There are numerous roles available, including presenting, community events, management, technicians, and programmers.

We provide a variety of benefits for volunteers, including training, VIP access to events, and local discounts.

We are entirely staffed by volunteers, who all devote varying amounts of time to organising a variety of roles.

You do not need any previous experience.

So, do you want to get involved?

Are you?

16 years or older?
Comfortable conversing with people of all ages?

Are you able to?

Volunteer for at least six to twelve months.
Attend training sessions once a week for one hour each for approximately one month.
Attend at least three community events per year.
